DEV BLOG # 6 - We're not always lights, but ...


Hello everyone !

So many twists and turns! I don't know where to start ...

The lights

We did a lot of optimization work last week as described in my previous dev blog.

Also the internal tests this week made it possible to detect performance problems on certain types of devices (thank you Isylium). And I took the opportunity to improve the overall rendering of the game.

Projectiles

A lot of projectile work was at the heart of the project this week.

We wanted to give a specific appearance to each character projectile, without unbalancing the heroes. If the animation is different, the "pattern" for each projectile is similar.

It gives a bit of consistency to the gameplay I think.

Internationalization

We are moving to speed two concerning the deployment of our servers.
Currently only two are in place, one in London (that of the blog), and another in France (a game server)

We communicate a lot at the moment in English-speaking countries, which allows us to increase our visibility, but we also need to set up services and translations in these countries, we have planned a deployment for the following countries for the beta:

  • North America (west, east)
  • France
  • Canada
  • India
  • China
  • Japan

Conclusion

Still work this week, I especially thank the people who tested the game and gave their feedback, it helps development enormously, be sure!
